Coming To ChristViews 254
How to begin your personal relationship with Jesus Christ?
You can start by accepting Him and Believing He is the Way, Truth, and Life above all! Let's start with some scripture in story form, read below
Nicodemus was a Pharisee and he was a leader and an authority among other Jews. He was high up which means he taught the law and lived the law. He comes to Jesus and says I know you're from God because no one can do the miracles you're doing which produces proof that you're from God. Jesus says back to that statement. I'm telling you that, unless a person is born from above, he can never know and experience the Kingdom of God. Nicodemus being a rational man asks how can a man be born when he's old, how can he enter his mother's womb again and be born. Nicodemus is thinking on physical terms, and does not understand what Jesus is saying at all. Jesus says I tell you, unless a man is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the Kingdom of God. Jesus says the same thing again, what is born of flesh is flesh, and born of the Spirit is spirit.
Every person is born of flesh. We have a spirit but it is not until you receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior that our spirit is made alive and we are born again. Then our spirit will no longer be dead, instead it will now be filled with the Holy Spirit. Sin causes our spirit to be dead and our heart to be hard and calloused towards God. God's Holiness cannot tolerate sin so Jesus came so that we don't have to live that way anymore. Jesus came and died on the cross so that those who receive Him receive a new heart, and our spirit is made alive by the Holy Spirit. Now we are no longer under the wrath of God, and we have peace with God and God has peace with us.
That's what it means to be born again and we now have a different outlook on life. Ephesians 2 says that Jesus makes us alive. We were dead because of our sins. The wages of sin is death. You follow the world, you follow the prince of the power of the air, you are a son of disobedience, your rebellious, you are unbelieving, and you go against the purposes of God. That's how we are born naturally.
If you're someone who is looking for changes, and your life is falling apart, it doesn't matter if the outside of your life is going exactly the way you want on the inside you're a mess. There's no hope, there's no satisfaction, there's no contentment, and you're searching for something. God is calling you to His Son and He’s telling you that you don’t have to be in opposition to Him . This is not what He wants for you.
To get out of that opposition, to be saved from your sin, to be saved from yourself, then you receive Christ Jesus as your Lord and Savior. It's not difficult basically the most common is God if you're real show me. Jesus if you exist show me and He will He will come to you. He will present himself to you, because he is rich in mercy. He does this to satisfy his great intense love that he has just for you. He's looking to make peace with you and He's looking to bring you out from underneath His wrath and into His blessed kingdom.
Bow your heart and you bow your knee, but the bowing of your knee without bowing your heart is to be religious. Bow your heart and submit to God and asked Jesus to come in and be the Savior and the Lord of your life.
John 3:3 Jesus answered him, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, that unless a person is born again (anew, from above), he cannot ever see (know, be acquainted with, and experience) the kingdom of God.
Romans 3:22 We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are. 23 For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. 24 Yet God freely and graciously declares that we are righteous. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins. 25 For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life, shedding his blood.
Matthew 4:17 From that time Jesus began to preach, crying out, Repent (change your mind for the better, heartily amend your ways, with abhorrence of your past sins), for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Romans 10:9 Because if you acknowledge and confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and in your heart believe (adhere to, trust in, and rely on the truth) that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart a person believes (adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Christ) and so is justified (declared righteous, acceptable to God), and with the mouth he confesses (declares openly and speaks out freely his faith) and confirms [his] salvation.13 For everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord [invoking Him as Lord] will be saved.
Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the Gospel (good news) of Christ, for it is God’s power working unto salvation [for deliverance from eternal death] to everyone who believes with a personal trust and a confident surrender and firm reliance, to the Jew first and also to the Greek,
Salvation is confirmed when you are not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ. After accepting Christ into your heart, then the walk with Christ begins. When we are sincere, Jesus Christ will come into our heart and the Holy Spirit will begin to reveal sin in our life that needs to stop because it does not honor God. On the flip side this sin is probably a big major problem in your life causing destruction, and God wants what is best for you. Now we could go on and on about this subject, because some of us have had horrible childhoods, abuse, hurts, pain, death, and much more. God is not a man and we should not compare what happened to us to God! As you begin your walk with the Lord, then seek Truth. A lot of what we believe is a lie, and not correct information. When the Lord meddles in your life He is looking to have your heart changed, which will cause your thinking to change. This new heart we are given will change us from the inside out and the new creature will begin to be revealed. We die to ourselves and live as His example through the power of the Holy Spirit.
